TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) - Your neighbor could be one, your coworker or even your own mother. Some say they are Doomsday or conspiracy theorists. They say they are just regular folks, with one exception.

"If the power or water got shut off after five days, which is not out of the realm of possibility, I wouldn't be leaving my house because it's going to be pandemonium, people are not going to be prepared," said Low Buck Prepper.

Toole Avenue beautification aims to attract more people to an arts district

TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) – Optimism has sprouted up all along Toole Avenue after more than 100 volunteers helped beautify the area.

Farmers market opens Saturday at Maynards Market

One day a week, Maynards Market essentially is adding a fresh produce section in the form of Tucson’s newest farmers market.

The Farmers’ Market at Maynards starts Oct. 15 and will gather each Saturday from 9 a.m to 1 p.m. on the patio on the railroad side outside Maynards.

After being rained out last month vendors are gearing up for a really busy night on October 8. And of course with Halloween around the corner, you don't want to miss the fun of the free fortuneteller in front of Sacred Machine Gallery. 

The Gallery is filled with unique art, and the fortuneteller is a unique experience. A crowd can always be found around her table.

The 2011 Tucson Oktoberfest will start Thursday, Sept. 29, benefiting the Optimist Clubs throughout the city.

Rendezvous on Fourth Avenue on for this Saturday

TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) – Fourth Avenue businesses are gearing up for larger crowds this Labor Day weekend.

The district is well-known for the street fairs it holds twice a year and its large selection of locally-owned businesses.  With college students back and a football game scheduled this weekend, Fourth avenue is once again holding “Rendezvous on Fourth Avenue” to offer things to do outside those times when the street fairs attract the crowds.
