17th Street Market undergoing changes

The 17th Street Market you have known in the 21st century has seen striking changes in the past few months.

The fish counter is gone. The Asian section has been drastically downscaled and, with that, 6,500 square feet of the market were walled off for warehouse storage.

On the other hand, CEO Tom Kusian right now is building an herbal greenhouse right by the front door, and he’s on the verge of giving the market a showroom for his party rental and catering divisions.

Tom Kusian is adding party rental and catering services to 17th Street Market.

TUSD clothing bank running low on clothes

TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) - This cold, wet weather is bringing new attention to a growing problem in the Tucson Unified School District.

Students heading to classes, without enough clothes to keep them warm.

Organizers say they're out of the basics for many students, and with this rain having a hood and boots is important for kids to be able to stay focused while they're at school.

Vendor impacts community at 4th Avenue Fair

TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) - Hundreds of vendors are in town for the 42nd Annual Fourth Avenue Street Fair. One vendor from California has been making a big impact on our community for years.

As fair-goers flooded Fourth Avenue today, shopping, eating, and drinking, the bright yellow cups, filled with cool lemonade were near impossible to miss.

Hundreds of arts and crafts booths and food vendors are set up at the annual 4th Avenue Street Fair!

About one-third of the vendors are local, while the rest come from all over.

BICAS holding annual art auction

TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) - Bikes can be art.

At BICAS (Bicycle Inter-Community Art & Salvage), they never throw anything away. In fact, they re-use everything to make new bikes, or, in this case create amazing art.

The 16th Annual Art Auction fundraiser and celebration is going on this weekend.
