PCC’s Downtown Campus gets new dean

The Downtown Campus of Pima Community College has a new dean.

Dr. Nicola C. Richmond, the Executive Director of Planning and Institutional Research at Pima Community College has been named as the new Dean of Business, Occupational and Professional Programs, at the Downtown Campus.

Dr. Richmond has been working at PCC since January 2008, by November she became the head of Planning and Institutional Research, for leading a team supplying data and analysis about PCC in support of planning, student success, grant writing and other functions.  She also holds a Doctorate in Geophysics from the University College London, and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Geophysics from the University of Southampton in England.

“Nic brings a wealth of experience to the campus, and we look forward to her joining our administrative team,” said Dr. Luba Chliwniak, President of Downtown Campus.

Dr. Richmond will be taking over as Downtown Campus Dean on August 6, taking over for Nancy Russell, who was last month named as Dean of Instruction at Metropolitan Community College – Longview in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
