Cirque du Couture comes to town thanks to Tucson Ladies Council | Events
Are you interested in high fashion, but don’t have the means or the time to head to Fashion week in New York? Why not give Cirque du Couture a shot.
The Tucson Ladies Council is hosting the 8th annual fashion show to benefit Tu Nidito Children and Family Services, next weekend.
WHEN: September 22, at 6 p.m.
WHERE: Casino Del Sol Resort and Spa
COST: $150 per ticket ($100 of ticket is tax deductible); to purchase tickets please visit: www.tunidito.org/tlcfashionshow or call (520) 322-9155.
The evening will begin with a red carpet arrival with Chris Richards Photography snapping pictures of all attendees with a step-and-repeat backdrop in true red carpet style.
Global cuisine will be emphasized with chef-attended action stations featuring a live sushi chef, gourmet Mexican street tacos, and all American comfort food. Isabella’s Ice Cream will be on site with their electric/solar truck, serving select flavors of their locally-made, all natural ice cream. Signature cocktails include a Cotton Candy Martini and a Bubble Bar where you can splurge on a variety of champagne libations.
Exciting live and silent auctions will include a trip to the 2013 Masters Golf Tournament, an AVA VIP Concert Package for 10, sports memorabilia, health and beauty gift baskets, and restaurant gift certificates.
The evening will be highlighted with the inaugural Crystal Heart Award honoree, Ginny Clements, for her significant contributions to the Tucson community.
The Celebrity and Children’s runway show is truly the most touching moment of the evening. Local celebrities such as Tucson City Mayor Jonathan Rothschild, U of A alum and four-time Olympian (including London this summer!) marathon runner Abdi Abdirahman, Tucson Police Chief Roberto Villasenor, and Amy Miller, wife of U of A Coach Sean Miller, will escort Tu Nidito children on their very own walk down the runway.
The Fashion Show is Tucson’s only professionally produced fashion show. Paula Taylor Productions, LLC. brings together local Tucson boutiques, La Encantada retailers, Bracker’s of Nogalas, AZ, and vintage and designer collections from New York and Los Angeles. This year’s show will also feature world-renowned designer, Angel Sanchez on the runway.
An After Party will follow directly after the fashion show featuring live entertainment by 80’s and Gentlemen.
“We are looking forward to what is sure to be a glamorous evening to benefit Tu Nidito and their important work,” said Jennifer Coyle, 2012 Fashion Show Co-Chair. “The new Casino Del Sol Resort and Spa will be a beautiful backdrop for an evening full of fashion, fantasy, and gravity-defying aerial entertainment. We greatly appreciate the support and generosity of the Tucson community who help make this event a success every year.”
The Tucson Ladies Council invites colleagues, friends, and family to be a part of this special event.
