Salvation Army toy assistance sign up for those in need | Events

Tucson’s largest pre-registered toy assistance program for families in need will have a ONE DAY PRE-REGISTRATION Ticket Distribution. People needing assistance with toys or clothing for their children this year will need to be at the Ticket Distribution in November to receive a ticket for their family, which will provide them with an appointment date and time, as well as application instructions of the needed information to bring to their scheduled appointment.
WHEN: November 2, beginning at 8 a.m.
WHERE: Hospitality House Shelter Parking Lot (1021 N. 11th Ave.)
The Salvation Army will begin distributing 1,550 tickets to people hoping to apply for toy assistance this holiday. One ticket per household. Tickets will be issued beginning at 8 a.m., on a first-come, first serve basis.
When tickets are out, they are out. Salvation Army is anticipating all tickets will be gone by noon. With a preset number of tickets being distributed on Saturday, people are expected to line up early to get a chance to apply for help. There is limited space available and the Salvation Army will do their best to accommodate the early attendees. However, they do ask that people arrive no earlier than 5 a.m.
