Informational forums for veterans on new claims process held this Friday | Events
Two informational forums for veterans are being hosted by Senator McCain’s office. According to a news release from Senator McCain these forums are part of a series designed for veterans and their families. These forums will provide information about the new Fully Developed Claims (FDC) process, which was created to speed up the new claims process for veterans.
Representatives from Senator McCain’s office, as well as representatives from the Veterans Affairs Regional Office (VA) and local Veterans Service Officers (VSOs) will be on hand to answer questions. These forums will be for new claims only - representatives will not be able to answer questions on already existing claims.
Senator McCain also released the following statement on the planned forums:
“I am pleased the Veterans Administration has evaluated its procedures and recognized the need for the new Fully Developed Claims process (FDC),” stated Senator McCain. “It will greatly expedite the process for new claims – with a goal of processing them within 90 days – allowing our veterans to receive their benefits in a timely manner. I hope Arizona veterans and their families will take advantage of these informational forums and the new claims process.”
