Go 'green' for the book festival, ride Sun Tran | Events

Looking for an environmentally friendly way to get to the Festival of Books this weekend? Or just plain don’t want to worry about finding a parking space, then why not ride Sun Tran to the Tucson Festival of Books event this weekend.
The festival takes place March 9 and 10, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the U of A.
Sun Tran has regularly scheduled service to this area, providing a convenient and cost-effective travel option to the event.
The following Sun Tran Routes serve the U of A area:
- Route 1 – Glenn/Swan
- Route 3 – Sixth Street/Wilmot
- Route 4 – Speedway
- Route 5 – Pima/West Speedway
- Route 6 – South Park Avenue/North First Avenue
- Route 9 – Grant
- Route 15 - Campbell
- Route 20 - West Grant/Ironwood Hills
Due to this event, the UA Mall will be closed to bus traffic and the bus stop on the Mall temporarily discontinued. Passengers can board Routes 9, 15 and 20 on Campbell near the UA Mall entrance.

The cost to ride Sun Tran is $1.50 one-way for full fare passengers, 50 cents one-way for seniors 65 years and older, Medicare cardholders, disabled persons and low-income individuals with a SunGO ID & Card. Children five years of age and younger ride free with a paying passenger.
