Stabbing suspect identified, arrest warrant issued
TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now)- An arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect from an early morning stabbing at the University of Arizona campus, according to University of Arizona Police.
Jose DeJesus Cuevas-Hernandez, 63, of Tucson has been
identified as the suspect. Police said they are working with other law enforcement agencies to locate the man.
Police officials are saying the stabbing appears to be an isolated incident. UAPD responded to a call just before 7 a.m. about a stabbing near the Park Student Center and Tyndall Garage.
Cuevas-Hernandez is 5'6" tall, 200 lbs., with brown
eyes, brown hair and a thick bushy mustache.
Police warn the public to not approach the suspect if you see him, but to immediately call 911 with information.
Officials are saying he fled the scene in a gold or tan 2000
Chevrolet Malibu with Arizona license plate #772ZBD.
