Caliber Collision launches Thanksgiving food drive | Community Spirit

A local business, Caliber Collision is helping to ‘jump start’ holiday season food drives with a three week collection.
From now until November 16, the company is challenging all employees, customers and community members to double the number of food items collected from their Rhythm Restoration Food Drive held this past summer. All donations collected at the Tucson locations will benefit the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
The fall Rhythm Restoration Food Drive is being conducted by all Caliber Collision locations, not just the four in Tucson, but all across Arizona, California, Nevada, Texas and Oklahoma. There were over 22,000 food items collected from these locations during the summer food drive.
“More than 60,000 families will visit the food bank this holiday season and we may not be able to help them,” said Jack Parris, Public Relations Manager for the Community Food Bank, in a recent news release, citing the lingering downturn in economy and effects of a severe drought across most of the nation for low food inventory levels. “We are grateful to Caliber Collision for once again spearheading a great effort and making it easy for the community to drop off food donations at their store locations.”
“We challenge our employees, our customers, vendors, suppliers and the general public to generously donate to this food drive,” said Patrick O’Neill, Caliber Collision Vice President of Operations, in the same release. “Our company mission is to repair vehicles and restore our customers to the rhythm of their lives. Our goal with the Food Drive is the same – help fight hunger and help restore the rhythm of regular meals for the children and families that need help in our local communities.”
Donations of non-perishable food items such as proteins, dry goods, baby food or even cash, will be greatly appreciated.
