Fiesta Grande celebrating 10 years of history with a street fair | Community Spirit

Fiesta Grande is hosting its 10th Annual street fair, to celebrate Tucson's West Side culture and the history of Barrio Hollywood.

WHEN:  April 14 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and April 15 from noon to dusk

WHERE:  Grande Avenue (four blocks west of I-10 between Speedway Blvd and St. Mary's Rd.)

COST:  Free to the public - everyone is welcome

Among the acts performing is 5-time Grammy Award winner, Little Joe y La Familia, there will be a kick-off parade with floats, color guard, an exhibit of historical murals, carnival rides and games.  There are two days of live music, ensemble groups, a car show, arts and crafts, lots of delicious food and beer.  There will be activities featuring jumping castles, rock climbing and lots of games for young and 'young at heart' alike.

Fiesta Grande is a non-profit organization and would like to thank the many groups and businesses for their sponsorship and support with this event.  The funds collected at events like this are used to support scholarships, equipment and activities for children and the Barrio Hollywood Neighborhood Association.  These funds also lend support to the local schools and community programs at El Rio Neighborhood Center, local churches, and assistance for the elderly.
