Cox Communications helps Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona | Community Spirit
Recently Cox Communications presented a check for $2,500 to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. This generous donation is to provide help to the organization’s relief efforts in Oklahoma as well as their ongoing care of Southern Arizonans.
“Cox Communications also serves Oklahoma and we were touched that the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona extended their support to those in need there," said Lisa Lovallo, Cox Communications vice president and system manager for Southern Arizona, in a recent news release. “The Food Bank of has been a pillar in the community, making sure that Southern Arizonans have access to nutritious food and programs they need.”
This donation will be used to recoup the costs incurred for sending food and water relief to Oklahoma and continuing to support the needs of the people of Southern Arizona.
“The Community Food Bank is thankful to Cox Communications for their support of Tornado relief efforts in Oklahoma City,” said Bill Carnegie, Community Food Bank CEO, in the same release. “Their contribution to this effort has helped our disaster response staff ensure timely deliveries of water and emergency food supplies to those affected by the storms.”
