Greater Tucson Leadership is seeking inspired applicants | Business
Greater Tucson Leadership (GTL) is now accepting applications for its annual civic leadership program and will do so until April 16, this is for the class starting August 23. GTL selects applicants through a competitive application process; 35 qualified individuals will participate in a ten month leadership program. GTL is seeking participants who represent diverse backgrounds and who offer unique perspectives for a rich classroom experience. Each participant is committed to developing stronger leadership skills and becoming an agent of change in the workplace and larger community.

Founded in 1980, Greater Tucson Leadership, is a partner program of the Tucson Metro Chamber, it is a non-profit, non-partisan civic leadership development program whose mission is to inspire, develop and promote leadership in the Greater Tucson Region. GTL offers robust classroom and field education experiences for community-minded individuals from business, government, nonprofit and community organizations who seek to expand and enhance their leadership skills and improve our Southern Arizona community. GTL graduates emerge from the program with practical, in-depth understanding of major community issues and impassioned about solving them.
Over the ten month course, class members will spend one Friday per month focused on individual issue days, as well as an opening retreat and call to action session. Issue days include topics such as: government, border, environment, economic development, education, healthcare, arts and culture, criminal justice and media. More than 900 participants have graduated from the GTL program.
