Word Clouds a tribute to January 8 survivors

Beowulf Alley Theatre Company will be presenting their play Word Clouds on Monday.

This play was written as a tribute to the January 8 mass shooting victims and survivors, they first performed the play in March, 2011 and then performed for Colonel Bill Badger and his wife Sallie, and Patricia Maische and other survivors.

They are inviting everyone to attend the 2013 performance on January 7 at 7:30 p.m.  Word Clouds is a chance for the Beowulf Alley Theatre Company to tell the stories of a community responding to a shocking tragedy.

By presenting real people and their reactions to those tragic events with compassion, honesty, and dignity, the company hopes to inspire their audience and fellow southern Arizonans and visitors to come together and to remember the events of that day and those times. In short, to not forget and to find a way to heal, to hope, to grow and to learn.

Audience members are encouraged to stay behind after the performance and offer up any questions, concerns or if they just want to share a story.

Portions of the proceeds from the 2012 performance went to the Tucson Community Food Bank, and this year a portion of the proceeds will go to Tucson Homicide Survivors.
